Partners

The CEA, EDF, and INRIA organize two summer schools every year: one on numerical analysis, and one on informatics. But who are these organizations?

Who are we?

CEALogo

The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is a key player in research, development, and innovation in four main areas: defence and security, low carbon energies (nuclear and renewable energies), technological research for industry, and fundamental research in the physical sciences and life sciences. Relying on a recognized expertise capacity, the CEA participates in the setting up of collaborative projects with numerous academic and industrial partners. It is fully integrated into the European research area and has a growing presence at the international level.

EDFLogo

The EDF group is an integrated energy company, present in all businesses: production, transmission, distribution, trading, energy sales, and energy services. Leader in low-carbon energies in the world, with 90% carbon-free electricity, EDF has developed a diversified production mix based mainly on nuclear and renewable energy (including hydraulics) and is investing in new technologies to support energetic transition. The group relies on strong R&D on a daily basis to improve its performance in all of its activities and prepare for the future by working on breakthrough technologies. EDF’s R&D covers all trades and activities in the energy sector, which is why it also carries out research for external, academic or industrial sponsors.

Inria is the French national research institute for digital science and technology. World-class research, technological innovation, and entrepreneurial risk are its DNA. In 200 project teams, most of which are shared with major research universities, more than 3,900 researchers and engineers explore new paths, often in an interdisciplinary manner and in collaboration with industrial partners to meet ambitious challenges. As a technological institute, Inria supports the diversity of innovation pathways: from open source software publishing to the creation of technological startups (Deeptech).
